epod you need to steady your hand and you dont need to use prismas yet, save some money and use crayolas or something. thats what i use half the time. i voted katze he actually had some letter structure. people need to start breaking down their letters into pieces and then you will progress way faster

I think he used Sharpies. There was no need. It looks etchy because you didnt layer it right. To make a sketch look clean you first 1. draw out the basic rough sketch, then erase bad lines. 2. darken and detail after erasing bad lines and cleaning up. 3. Go over in BIC. pen. Let ink dry. 4. Erase sketch leaving only ink, no pencil lines. 5. Darken detail in pen.
I think he actually did it in Sharpie with no pre-sketch, that's why there are no steady lines.

You can see a pencil outline in his attempt to make a D, which he failed horribly in doing. Pen sketches aren't hard.

I know they aren't hard, but sharpies arent the best for outlining, mainly filling.

why do you alllll insist on battling? you need to preactice first. and get out of the toy forum. and you mustdo that by painting something and then someone who has not been told to post in the toy forum says you can leave the toy forum judging by your work. or something. and then when you get out of the toy forum you will still be toy but you can start battles. i feel like im just typing and not thinking so this probably wont make sense.

this battle sucked...the piece from epod would have been nice if the lines werent so fucked up...but hey what do expect from a toy battle...o yeah and even sharpies can look good if u know how to use them..actually any kind of marker or pen can look good if u know how to use them...

haha. if you guys are talking about my piece, with the sharpies... i started a pencil outline, then said fuck it, and went pen right away. lol i do have a steady hand, but i did it in short strokes, because i didnt have a good outline. i used a sharpie for the shadow , pen for outline. not prismas, for whoever it was that said dont use em.
