Moison says that despite the appearance of chaos, there is a hierarchy in the graffiti world.

"It's almost like fame for them, you have your kings and then you have the people under them. The kings are the ones who do the large tags and everyone's trying to become a king, so it's almost like a subculture for graffiti people. And then you get the graffitiers who don't really have a specific tag, they just go around and mark up buildings."

He says one of the solutions to graffiti is staying on top of it.

"Taggers want notoriety, so if you leave it one a building, that's what they want. Then other taggers will see it on that building, they'll put it on the building beside it and so on. If you take it off immediately, they see it as a waste of time.".
