The longer you write. The more youve been around. Like it or not you are known. Both by graff name and real life. Boston is very small. If you are from Boston and write hard, your time in the light can only last so long. When you are an out of towner. Heat picks up. you can just leave and never come back. you have no ties....
Plus as an out of towner you usually have experience when you get here. So those years of Toydum and getting caught for dumb shit and just being generally stupid arent in effect. You can come here, crush, then leave when the heat picks up.

personally i dont feel Boston graff has fully died out. Certain areas are smashed, certain areas are heated and certain areas often catch the buff. However i feel ppl should expand more around the city. Boston is bigger than just downtown Back Bay and Fenway which are played out and now target areas for VS. Around where i stay theres only a minority of local writers including myself keeping the scene somewhat alive. Rarely do i see out of town stuff. But hey its all about getting off this dumb comp and being motivated to hit the streets.
