this is exactly what's happening where I'm at... the guy got the attention of all the toys who think it's cool and makes them better writers if they use expensive cans, and lost all respect of the good heads and all their crews
i don't really think theres a real age/skill set standard. i feel like its all personal. there could be a 17 year old whos been writing for a year and is sick and then there could be a 29year old whos been goin at it for 10 years and is still toy as anything. it all depends on your own abilities to progress
But even if the 29 year old writing for 10 years isn't that great, he's still up as fuck. The kids that started at 20 aren't going to be sick in a years time AND they aren't up. They'll be like 35 before they have their shit really together. Who the fuck wants that?

disagree, I've seen 18-20 year olds get up really quick.. I've seen 20 year olds achieve more in a year than what other writers who've been writing for 10 years have ever achieved... it's all relative to each writer's progress speed like ian said and I believe we all had enough curiosity to check out what banksy's movie is about last year ure a bit late on the link there ianoe u want some sick bombig action, watch 5AM.. my fave

Went back to Charleston today to visit (I'm from there). Makes me sad how much of a graff scene they really had, and I never even got into it until I left. Can't wait to move back down this summer. Any writers there hit me up. Hopefully I'll be worth a shit by then.
I went near this wall that I was sure was just there or whatever, I roll through, paint a hollow really quick, but my gut kept telling me to leave. I leave and as soon as I do, mother fucker rolls right in. I was on top of a hill next to it, because there was a good spot up there, but I stopped and just saw him walk over to it and never leave it. I was like fuckkkk too close. Also, mind you, there was only one way out of that shit.
