Pen smudged, too much negative space in 'M', i don't normally use vanishing point 3d and i never use a ruler for it (i'm not gonna practice with a crutch). No idea of colours yet...
sol-haha i woulda posted that dude either way i forgot about it on my photo bucket n when i seen it i had to use it i used to impliment it to many sketchs on here years back, i dig the orange n green one in the first sketch tho mischuf-that looks like somethin my kid woulda made with legos go to block letters like the simplest a letter can be like my kids lego sculptures you need a foundation to build from spek- you got the right idea just try to use consistant bars to make your letters like in the p how the bar inside the loop doesnt line up with the bar under it(in the second one scrap most of the first) your s needs alot of work too try not to wory about givin the letters motion yet. i could go on further but i gotta get up early so ill leave it at that

i did dude. Started with blocks and bars and developed along a theme... bent blocks with wedge serifs... Although now that i look, i think i made that "I" up off the top of my head...
Nah man, when we say foundation and structure, think of that letter in real life trying to stand up on its own like a bridge. That shit would collapse in a second. Get what I'm sayin? Para un chica. Crit if you want. I'll finish it sometime this week.
Stick to simples. I'll let you learn what I'm sayin in time on your own. I know its boring and blah blah blah, but gaining a style from simps = success in more advanced pieces.
You got it, Sherlock. But you can add style to that. Add some extensions, serifs, whatever. Play around with your letters and find what you are good at.
Fair enuf. Thanks for your patience. @sema: that took me 5 secs tops... If i want to draw perfect i spend longer. Oh and i would usually sketch, that H is just one continuous line then i add the 3d.
personally i reckon the left hand bar of the y could be moved down a little to fill some more space between it and the k. It looks like a smaller letter in comparison to the others, doesn't take up enuf space. But since we've just established i don't know shit i can safely be ignored obviously.
Just because you don't know something doesn't mean you don't know shit. Learning simples and how to develop from them is hard. Especially because it can get boring. Work on whatever you like dude, all we're saying is that simples really help develop your style the more you do them. It just happens haha. And sema I think I love you. And everything I posted was completely freestyles except that orange and green piece thing lol
