im pretty new to the whole graffiti scene. i live in south eastern Connecticut in New London county; there isn't much street art out here these days, most graffiti that can be found is gang related. some time in November of 2011 a friend showed me a documentary called "Exit Through The Gift Shop" and since then i have wanted to begin making a mark in my area. That documentary seemed to say that street art is dead because of guys like Mr. Brainwash, it got me thinking about the culture of the east coast and how it seems that nothing can stay genuine because popularity leads to monopolization- which in turn kills whatever it touches. I don't think that making graffiti will change anything about that shit, but it would be nice just to see how my little corner of the world would react to it.
Any artists from my area reading this: please contact me, i would like to know what else is going down nearby, and i would love to work with you.
