Sweet. Great use of colours.
Exchange with Phat2. Unfortunately, the papers took up either something wet or greasy at some point, so that they didn't pick up the colours as they should. As a result, no blending at all...
Great colouring indeed. I especially like how you did the characters.
@Skue: Go watch pros draw faces and figures and see how they build them up from scratch. There should be enough videos about that on YouTube. Also, learn some basic anatomy.
Sorry e-feelings! Nah, I just pointed that out because I like the outline better than the final, and I remember you asking about colours before. As long as you're happy with it.
Great flow and technique, Arose. I have yet to see a sketch of you that I don't like. However, I'm not a fan of the colour sheme. It's a bit too much all over the place, using too many different...
Used a different technique to ink the outlines today, fucking smudged everything. I've never had smudges this bad. Can't even erase the pencil lines underneath the ink anymore because the ink just...
Sweet, love it! Thanks man!
And Mone, that's a great gold effect.
Thanks guys! And yeah, I know those planes would never face each other in real life, but I just really wanted to draw Dr.1's and Spitfires. It doesn't get much more iconic than those two.
Thanks! My letters won't progress as fast this way, but I really enjoy doing these kind of themes. Takes a fuckload of time, but it's fun, and it makes me improve on a more allround level.
Exchange with Arose
And since I haven't posted for a while, the entry for the Science battle...
Sweet Arose, I really like that last one. Just not sure about the extra e's.
Sweet Arose! I like the flow you've got going on in it! Yours will be done as soon as possible.
And Sech, I've always liked your style. Keep at it!
Yes, we did, but we were both too busy to do it back then. I don't have any time this week, but I should be able to put something together after it. It'll probably take a while given my small amount...
It's pretty awesome, Arose. I always really like your combination of dynamic letters with comic elements. You make it look easy. The only critism I have regards your use of colour. It feels like I'm...
I'm not up to level with Mone or Arose, but I like that idea, and I should be able to at least make an interesting page. PM me if you want to.
Interesting, thanks! I don't have paint here at the moment, but I'll start experimenting with the marker/pencil combo.
Mone, Arose, those are great. Mone, what did you use to create the white highlights and the shadows on the red letters? It looks so grainy.
That's fantastic Nove!
I'm not bitching, this was a battle entry for the sketch battle that didn't have enough entries.
Apparently, there's currently no use in entering the battles, so I'll just post it here.
Alright, I've got some time for a sketch during the next two days, so you can add me, Rib.
If it would otherwise mean that those guys can't enter the tournament, I can try to squeeze in a quick black 'n white sketch. I can't promise anything, but I'll try.
You're right, although I usually don't do it as much as I did here. I started out too big and didn't want to go to a second paper. But point taken.
Sketch battle entry. I don't have any markers at the moment, so I had to pencil the shades, which the scanner hardly picked up.
