The truth is the USA team got pretty lucky, and I would even question the notion than any of their players have mastered any craft at all with the exception of Tim Howard.
But what makes this win so great is the fact that the english have high expectations, and go out and spend all this money on an Italian coach, only to tie their first game against a team no one, especially the English, takes seriously.

Any English football fan or pundit worth their salt knew that The USA were to be taken seriously. They knocked Spain out in the CC, it was never going to be a complete walkover.

I think its safe to say that Tim Howards the best player on the US team. In the CC he played lights out and was the better part as to why the US made it so deep. That being said, Brazil or Spain should take the WC. Both have a ridiculously deep amount of talent and experience. But we'll just hafta wait and see
