Just out of curiousity, how long does a kiwi marker last before you need to throw it away?

it matters how you use it, rough surfaces will eat up the nib. it also depends on what kind if ink you use. if your using some hard staining stuff, it will weaken the nib when it becomes wet.

yeah i use acrylic cuz i dont wanna pay for oil based. its just gonna get buffed anyway so fuck that. if i can steal some i might try it

acrylic paint does have some nice colors that are more commonly found than oil base...

I found it in one of my dresser drawers, so i dumpt all that shitty water color outta there and cleaned the nib.


it has mad drips, and i wouldn't doubt u being able to rip that nib out and add ur own in.

depends on the surface you write on..if your writing on like. concrete on the floor the nib will tear right off

Ok, u want to know wat that is? I want a good ink, not just "2/3 paint, 1/3 mineral spirits/thinner" like everyone tells me, that ink recipe just ruined one of my nibs on my best marker lol

I can ive you a good ink, but you need some shit for it.

And it ruined your window marker because that was a pump marker, which you shouldn't have put GK in anyway, GK is for mops which you have.

my favorite ink of all time
so simple to make
any amount of india ink (preferably black)
any amount of leather dye (preferably black)
any amount of acrylic paint (preferably black)
some FINE (i mean like your about to snort it like coke fine) charcoal powder
any amount of dot 3 (optional)
any amount of black zig (optional)

yes this is waterbased
but its opaque as anything
and works good

i used 3 bottles of india ink
and 1 bottle of higgins eternal (not really that good of stuff but it says its permanent)
1 kiwi thing full of black kiwi leather dye
a peice of charcoal smashed up very finely for opaqueness (did not use it all only about 1/4 of it)
like 2 black zigs, 2 caps full of dot 3, and a small amount of black acrylic paint

works great in zigs and other types of pump markers
and drips if you write with the nib press down
opaque as anything
weatherproof and waterproof
only downer is its water based...

The paint on the nib of my kiwi mop dried out, do you think soaking it in mineral spirits would bring it back? Or should I toss it and get a new one?

I dont know about you guys but the pump markers I sell with chrome, which is ghetto krink, works perfect.
I suppose my hands are magic?
