have any of you used any of the montana hardcore markers? i was looking through a catalog of stuff we can special order where i work and they have the following for pretty good prices and free shipping. So lemme know if any of you have used any of these.

Montana Hardcore XXL's (2 inch wide nib) lookin at the silver

Montana empties - looks like a molotow pump valve kinda marker

Copic Empty markers w wide nibs (3/4")

and they also had a marker that was made for cleaning chalkboards that contains a cleaning solution but the nib is 2" like the Montana XXL's and the Masterpiece markers, so im thinking i could just get one of those and fill it myself.

i also found these online for 4 bucks..

So I said before I was working on a nice Calligraphy style with my New Molotow Masterpiece and out of paranoia, I'll only post the first letter of the name...

Feed back would be nice. I understand this is a markers thread but this is showcasing what it can do.

Nah, I was Using it on these huge rolls of paper I have and I didnt see a point in making solid lines in just practice, It is an INK KILLER. No joke. But when you sand down the nib enough, and get it juiced up, it writes solid as a mother

    bahahahahaha,

I need to find a recipe for some nice black ink. Ive made black gk and it works well thru mops but i cant make any that will go thru zigs. The closest i got was a dark purple, but i want a really solid black. Someone wanna help me with a recipe? Ive been searching for a while but couldnt find any. I know that bitumen is nice and black, but it seems to thick. Someone got a nice recipe that i could use to make some black ink from objects found at local stores? Thanks

maaaaan thats gay. I get tired of purple. Hmmm, does woodstain dry up the nib like paint does or does it keep it moist like inks?

Anything, if exposed to oxygen long enough, will dry up. Unless ofcourse it's 100% oil based, because oil just doesn't evaporate the same as liquid such as alchohol based inks.
There are some sick Ink Recipes in the INK Recipe forum. You may have better luck there..

Alright so I broke down, for the most part, the structure of the Molotow Masterpiece for those of you who remain skeptical. The highlighted green is showing the Patented Eight Pathways through which the ink reached the entire area of the nib, via pump system..
It is like A gas dispersing over ground. Ex... Fog over a field.

The process could be best described as diffusion. Sort of like a virus taking over your body's Red blood cells. The ink consumes the nib, and as soon as all is soaked, you write and once you pump the pump system again, it equally disperses the ink throughout the nib..

I can't safely tell you the stock ink in either one of the two already filled markers will write as well in the nib as my ink recipe does, but I would hope it does. The trick is to evenly sand down the nib on the entire width of it, and get it juiced up before writing. I used a fourty grit sandpaper and flattened down the edges of the nib, making sure to have smooth lines
