I just end my day with one or two decent stickers to replace those that I use but I never keep up with the rate they go up..

I noticed that too, I took the picture via my phone and it didn't pick up the white areas among the right (what is our right) eye to show the distinction that there IS an eye clearly visible there... Will post other flicks later.

One question::::

Is a Blank Thermal Transfer sticker any different from say... a priority mail shipping label? Can I directly draw on this label with paint markers and slap it up without worrying about it later peeling itself off easily?

that would depend on the type of adhesive it has.
some labels get cheap and use temporary adhesive, or not enough, and they won't stick as good.
Thermal labels are labels that are printed on by thermal printers. The labels have a temperature sensitive dye built into the paper, and when enough heat is applied, the dye will react and turn dark, creating a printed mark.
