markers will get thrown away if their in your carry on. That is, if its a marker that holds a certain amount of liquid, and isnt a name brand disposable one like "sharpie". You can put it in your other baggage tho. Caps are good, cans are not. If your bringing ink make sure its not sealed, or else it will leak ink when you get up to a certain altitude.
