Okay so I have been using the recipe for alcohol and bic pens for a little while but I have accumulated a shit load of sharpies and sharpie paint markers. We all know tagging with these is not really ideal except in unique situations. So does anyone have info about getting the ink out of sharpies, can I use alcohol like pens or do I need another step, is this ink even viable or do I have to mix it with something else... Thanks for any info I can get.

well sharpies have a sponge like thing inside that holds all the ink, so just put all them in some alochol and leaves over night but shake now and again it it should come out, while idk about paint pen sharpies cos never had one but cant you unscrew the top off like on poscas/montanas?

I don't have that many same-coloured sharpies laying around so I wouldn't be able to make a single coloured ink. Someone should really try this and see if it works instead of pens.

had an idea, you ever used butane to extract oil from your weed? the same idea might work for this and the butane evaporates

yes butane goes in your lighters, but it falls out of the can frozen and draws the oil out.

I use regular Isophoryl Alcohol and a shit load of pens. Made a batch of fresh ink a couple days back and it is extremely strong after using it in some durability tests.
