Of course someone new to graff is going to bite like crazy... they are new, don't know what they are doing, don't understand what makes a good piece or how to construct letters/3d/shadows/shading/fills/highlights/caraks/etc.
I think theres nothing wrong with a toy biting in their infancy because its the easiest way to learn the ropes.
The only problem with biting is the effect on the ego. If they start thinking they are all big and shit and start running their mouth before they actually advanced, then yeah, they are a shit little toy that doesn't know what they are doing.
But if the kid actually keeps drawing and writing and slowly weens himself off of using other peoples work to learn, and advances on his own, then its fine because he has finally become an independant writer that understands graff enough to work on his own style, letter structure, etc.

Sorry if I didn't get my point out good enough, I hope it makes sence.

look its not that im ( or gesus, or whoever) is blaming you for biting. everyones done it even if its on a subconsious level. but still you're lacking the basics. most writers, no most "artists" have to start out and learn the basic princibles and all that to move there way up. LOOK


look at jeff sotos work since he is one of my favorite artists. his shit has taken life into like a surealistic view. But wait you see all of his art contains the basic elements of drawing, depth, shading, perspective, highlights, lowlights, and all that junk. he has mastered the BASICS.. im pretty sure that he has probly done many realistic sketches in his life. The same goes for graffiti. you MUST MASTER THE BASICS before you can go anywhere.. and i also sure that goes for many other things in life as well.....moral is "dont fucking skip the basicssssssssssssss, youll look like a dumbass'''....

this is probably my last post, but i just needed to clarify this, i do not reallly write, nor do i consider myself a real hardcore writer, i really enjoy doing do graffiti and love the art, and thats what it is, and id once again like to say i fully regret those stupid ass bites from the past , that honestly was at the point where i first started and didnt understand shit about the game and that was dumb of me to get into something i knew nothing about, but i was particularley interested and wanted to c if i could do it, but now it seems i can never live down that foolishness and dumb shit from before (bites ect.) thats shit was the dumbest stuff ever, and i know it but theres nothing i can do about it now

originality only can go so far untill its completly un-stylish, im not bashing gesus&#39; style, its awesome, but i wouldnt say its like the freshest most original style ever either. Regardless of it all dude gets up and thats all that matters honestly.

The way I see it, EVERY writer bites on some level. No toy ever picked up a pencil and fashioned out their own style. I dont think you should bite, and then post shit up as your own (not pointing fingers) but whatever. As far as I can see, Emoniah isnt talking shit or anything. Hes just posting his work. Who cares if someone thinks that theyre the shit? If they arent, then they arent. Their work will prove that. So let them think however they want to.

I dont know why all these "writers" are hating on people leaving Emoniah good crits. Why do you feel the need to define what good art is? If you think your shits hot, then thats all that matters. If you aint feelin someone elses style, deal. If the only reason people like Emoniahs work is cuz theyre toys, then let them think that.

It just seems like people are putting a definition on graffiti, when there really was none. Writing is all that matters. A writer shouldnt have to adjust to suit peoples opinions on what he should be.
