If you live in a small town like I do you might want to try to not even let people know that you have paint, stickers, posters or markers since if you have any of these items you immediately are a suspect. Just a tip from someone who's been there before.
Also avoid photos at all means, if you're caught put everything you can into avoiding a photo of your face. If this is posted to your towns news page or social media, your teachers and everyone will see. You're fucked.
100% true. You can get away with it in big city's places with one or two taggers you will get fucked. I do take pictures with a Polaroid camera and just keep the pictures with me but never post anything up.
I can't say my town is small, I'd say it's medium sized, as there seems to be really around 60 writers, but like 10 active ones including myself. But it's still small enough that everyone would know me, I have friends from multiple schools etc. I think these tips are apparent for anywhere between 0 and 150,000 population haha.
Yeah i live a reasonably small town with really only about 10 writers, only one besides me who does anything. I am very conscious of getting caught or even spotted, i don't leave empty cans around, always bomb during random times, sometimes during the day.
I live in a town with almost 200,000 people and me and one other person actually gets out to write. The amount the other writer has tagged surprises me because he should have already been arrested lol.
It's really harder to graff in a little city. Maybe you should graff where there are not many people.
In my town there's loooooads of bicycle gangs, everyone cycles everyone here cause the busses fucking rob you man...... it's not unusual to see people on their bikes late at night, especially young people. I bought a water bottle holder for my bike and just put a can in there. On real sketchy nights I put a big ass water bottle in there and just put the can inside it. Fucking hit n run man!!
I live in a small village so if a tag goes up its big news, word travels fast round here as well. So to avoid this I just go under this abandoned bridge where there is some graffiti already but its been there for a long ass time. I wish there were some people I could bomb with tho
Cambridge, England? Loads of places to paint them ways mate. Got the biggest graff shop in the country around the corner. And a few places in St Neots that are nice and chill. Skatepark used to be sound to paint too.
I am going to London this summer, i want to go to a graff shop there, but will they try and make conversation with me? I don't want to make any conversation, just hello and good bye. I am also 16 so if a buy like a marker, they will not what i am up to. What do you think i should do, also do you recommend any graff shops in London?
Graff shops generally know what peoples are up to regardless of what people say. They know your not going to do a mural with 2 Burner chromes and a tar black, so I wouldn't sweat that. I find London ways very impersonal, so if you don't want to be spoken to, its probs the best place to go. Few places that do paint, so I'm sure you'll find places. Chrome and Black is a popular one in Shoreditch. Or Alfreshco if your in the outskirts.
Well i mean i was just going to go grab a marker, do you recommend any marker for small tags out side?
There is? Whats the shop called I've never heard of one in Cambridge. Also I'm about a 25 minute drive away so staying local is better for me, besides theres a spot no one goes so its all for me I guess
Alfreshco pal. Kak and Bonzai work there so likely to see them if you head in. If they're not off painting the globe. Cheapest paint in the UK too. Chill spots are always good for starting out, nice if you can find your own ones too.
Oh you're talking about that store... I'm unlikely to be able to go to that as its 3hr 30mins walk from town centre but I'll check it out if I get the chance
