everytime you do something on the forums, you gain credit for it
posting, voting, starting new threads, referring, uploading a photo, friending someone... everything gives you credit.
basically it's about being active, the more active you are, the more credits you get.
what use are they, I still don't know. but they must mean something, probably a discount on a purchase or something, but it's a wild guess.
