Hi, I'm brand new to the community. And yes. I am a toy.

I went and racked for the first time today and picked up this list of shit:

1 Pair of grey gloves (messy.)
    1 Black Book
    8 Prismacolors or something. (practicing)
2 Sharpie paint markers (small time tagging???)

I basically wanted to know if those sharpie paint markers were good for tagging. I mean. I saw some big ass sharpie paint markers. I checked the tips and they seemed pretty felty. I marked a little bit on the display thingy and the paint seemed pretty thick. Have you guys seen or used any of these?

yo I would suggest saving the paint markers for canvas or stickers or something. The nibs(tip of pen) will go to shit after a few tags on surfaces that are not smooth. and then you'll be left with a half full paint pen with a shitty nib

unless the nib is big... post a picture of the pen while its open?

What do you mean just prisma. The Sharipes are oil-based mediums.

I ended up not picking up the super big sharpie markers because I had already jacked the prismas and I didn't feel like overdoing it on my first time, but i did pick up the smaller medium point ones. I don't know if I would attack any concrete wall with those, but definitely some smooth surfaces like metal boxes or windows.

I thought the Nib was pretty large. I think I can go back tomorrow and take a picture of em.

Dudes. I looked in four different stores for stickers today. Nada. Where should I go??? I tried Walmart, Target, Micheals, and the Dollar Tree.

The stickers are located Via USPS, no need to steal them. They are free. You can go to your local usps and grab them all. Or you can even get 500 shipped to your house for free.

You did good without knowing. The medium sized paint sharpies are actually oil based. The giant ones are all water based.

Be careful racking Prismas. What's happened around here is. I went into the store. Grabbed close to 50 of them with a friend. (50 Each.) Then walked out. Now workers actually walk back there and kinda are security. Because 100 prismas is close to 300 bucks. They get pretty pissed.

Thanks dude I'll check that out. I know exactly where one is. I think I'm just going to start slapping my name around town, even if they aren't really good tags on the stickers. Especially if the stickers are free hahahahaha. I think I might be one of the few writers in my town, which I kind of enjoy.

Sweet hah, yeah I saw that they were oil based and it made sense that those would be better than water based markers.

When I went over to the prismas there were hardly any left hahaha. 50 markers?? In what?! I got kind of antsy because the only exit to the store was right next to like three clerks.

Yeah the way the Michaels around here is layed out is that there is 1 big entrance and one exit in which you have to walk past all of the clerks to get to. What we do is wait and act like you're look around near the door. Then as soon as the doors open for someone to walk in. You walk out right after them. Real Easy.

What we do to rack so many is we tuck our shirts in and tie our belts tight. Put on a hoodie. Drop the markers down your shirt. The markers get caught right at your pants line. Walk.

Hah sweet. I thought about using a method like that but today the doors were open so it was really easy.

Thanks for the thieving tip. Does anyone feel kind of bad after racking? Eh. I wish there was like a huge crafting store that made a shit ton of cash so I could just steal there and not feel bad about it.

OK today I picked up more prismas for practice and some sharpie paint markers, including the bigger bolder versions for maybe some tagging? Those are good???

The paint sharpies oil based or water based can be buffed with just a wet rag. Nothing good about them except for little stuff that won't get buffed.

Never felt bad for racking. Michaels makes tons of money. Most companies CEO's make 400x more than the avg worker. If they are really low on money. I'm sure they could invest in their own company. Prisma and Sharpie are both world wide incorporations. They make plenty of money. Prisma sells their markers at $3 a pop around here. It doesn't take that much to make one of these markers. Probably not even a quarter of that to make one. They are making insane profit.

Question: Anyone here wear glasses? When it's cold outside and I got on my bandana when I breathe it fogs up my glasses real bad. I can't see shit without them. So not having them isn't really an option. Contacts fuck up my eyes and turn them all red and shit. So if a cop stops. He's gonna immediately think I'm stoned as fuck and potentially harass me. Any ideas?

Yeah I guess Micheal's is a big company. I'll get over it. I'm still getting my pen stash up at the moment. Then I'm going to go snag some stickers out of a UPS.

In scuba class they told us to use spit or some detergent in order to stop the fogging on our goggles. Maybe that will help you?? You definitely don't want to have your glasses fogging up while you're painting something. So if I were you I would get a pair of old glasses if you have some and use those to paint with or something.

Jeffrey - Practice, that's basically all you can do.
i only ever clog my resto's. i push down all the way but it fizzles and startes bubbling. ima take your advice with that paint thinner and thanks for the advice bro.
another question, (i might have already asked this) but is racking important? im probably gona start since im broke as fuck, but do you HAVE to rack to be a true writer?

It's pretty simple, it's the difference between the man and the female. Penis and vagina. Think about it.

Male caps will have a penis that goes into a mommy can, and female caps will hook up with a daddy can. Most of the time you're going to want to go for the male caps. You can pick up some rusto fats of some elmers spray glue that's a well known cap. And also check the automotive parts of your walmart or something. You can find some pretty jazzy caps there.

I wouldn't really know the answer to the true artist part because I'm not even a true artist yet. But racking is really easy and free. A little fun I might add.
