I think it looks good....
not saying you should do this/try this but I think it would look better if you had a solid dark color in the backdrop, and maybe even some writting.

yer im going to do a piece on top. But i know what you mean it seems like a lot is going on with the flares and then the orange splatter and stuff.

Also just use any paint markers the ink wont cover properley and you will be able to see anything darker behing it.
