i think you should have that backgroudn be the sky, put some water on the bottom adn the ship in teh water...thatd fill the space

you could even put a horizon and because the paint drips upwards it looks like a sun set maybe add the sun setting... doesn't have to be the standard yellow though.

i actualyl thougth it looked more like rain and the priates looking up at it like "oh fuck its raining" so mauybe do the ocean liek droplets are falling into it...
