it has the same amount of paint in the can, but the can dosent have as much pressure in it, meaning that the can is able to be smaller

The cap has nothing to do with the pressure. Fat caps work best with high pressure and thins work best with low pressure.

The lower the pressure the less paint comes out. Alien also has a variable valve system (the more you press down the more paint comes out) that allows you to get very thin lines.

Also, Alien cans are 3.95 and 400mL Hardcore are 4.95. I spent about $50 on the paint including shipping.
