wheat pasting

    hey whats wheatpasting ???? just curious i remember seeing it in the old threads but never tried it or anyhting.

    mix flour and water, boil for a few minutes. pour into a bucket and get a 4-6 inch brush, dip the brush and paste a sqaure a fair bit bigegr than what your pasteing on. put down the poster and make sure there's no air bubles, then cover with the paste again.


    *edit* you can also use wal paper adhesive, do the same as with the flour and water. its available at most paint/wall paper stores.

    how do u get such a big poster tho...I always see all these by shepard fairy and other people on the obey site...and they use huge ass posters

    has anyone seen that shit on BUMFIGHTS where they're wheatpasting? the illest shit i've ever seen is that "I LOVE THE SLUTS" billboard they did....classic

    i was reading that with the wheat paste you make at home you cant go over the poster after the initial brushing because the paste isnt clear enough
    i bet that just if you mkae really think paste.

    a good way to have stickers stay on better is spray on glue, works good

    yeah with homemades u gotta watch out if youre going over... but if its like just black and white its okay (get cheap photocopies and rock the 80s punk rock style!)

    add some sugar when u heat it. it sticks more after (add a few tablespoons)

    plus whos gonna arrest some1 putting up advertisement? (doesnt look like your tagging hehe)

    Does the paper you paste on ever tear since its wet? For example once you lay it down and go over it again?

    not really cuz its glued in place... of course dont push hard... just *paint over* and brush like you normally would...
