I don't feel typing out the whole explanation for what we do, so I'm just gonna post what wikipedia says because it sums it up fine:
A graphic designer is a professional within the graphic design and graphic arts industry who assembles together images, typography or motion graphics to create a piece of design. A graphic designer creates the graphics primarily for published, printed or electronic media, such as brochures (sometimes) and advertising. They are also sometimes responsible for typesetting, illustration, user interfaces, web design, or take a teaching position. A core responsibility of the designer's job is to present information in a way that is both accessible and memorable.
right now, I'm a full time graphic design employee in a print house. so my specialty is dealing with loads and loads of print outs. from as small as name sticker labels all the way to as big as huge scale building-covering posters, my job consists of both designing and printing them.
I also work as a freelancer from time to time, but it's not my main focus.
graphic design and graffiti walk hand in hand really. and fact of the matter is that I got into graphic design solely because of how much I like graff. and fortunately, it helped me out a whoooole lot in my major. mostly by distinguishing me from other designers since graff isn't popular in beirut, I always was seen as innovative, original, and different from all those other very typical and habitual and boring class mates of mine...
