elmers white glue with water, = just as strong as wheatpaste! (some boring people did a test lol)

i compiled a recipie for a wheatpaste like poster glue which wont mold and will last very long and might even be better than wheatpaste..

take some elmers white glue, and dilute it 3/4 glue, 1/4 water,
then add around 2bottle caps of baking soda, and half a cap of plaster of paris,
add, around a squeeze of wood glue, with a splash of water..
then think of that mixture as 3/4 of what you want, and add 1/4 wallpaper paste.. and a pinch of salt is needed.

if its too thick.. add more water to what you want..
i dont use wheatpaste.. i use that... keeps for as long as you want.. stays up...

    Great success!

hey does anyone think i could use an lcd projector instead of an overhead projector to make giant posters cuz i was looking for an overhead projector on ebay and the shipping costs too much (cuz its heavy) i was checking out lcd projectors and found a lot of them for cheap

your poster looks good harry just that i think pot heads and other druggys might disagree(might what to rip your poster down) when they read the part of the poster that says "dont do drugs"

Harry: Your poster has potential. Not the best, but you need to work on it.

Mr.Spic: I suppose as long as it projects an image, Its fine.

I made a poster from it the other day..

Only problem I had was I painted an extra coat over, the paper got so heavy it wasnt sticking properly..

and the pattern on the rear often shows through..

I like the clock alot. The randomness of it is intrigueing. The bong is kinda weak, but that's just my oppinion. Who knows, it might be everybodys favorite poster. I've done some big posters that I put alot of time and thought into. Which one does everybody always talk about? My Pacman poster... It was just some random shit I pulled outta my ass, but people liked that alot for whatever reason.

My next poster is gonna be a great big "My little pony"... Remember those corny pony toys little girls play with? I'm putting a speach bubble next to it that says "Zoo Crew- We keep it real like that son.." It will be hella sweet... Cuzz I like to rock corny shit like that.
My wife also gave me the idea to make posters of baby chicks wearing Darth Vader helmets. I'm kinda feelin that idea too. haha.

'How do you ask how to make wheatpaste out of household materials because you won't buy it,and then talk about how you've wheatpasted in the same post? '
    thats what cezer one posted.

dude i have done plenty of pasting.all i was asking for was an idea if you could use household substances for pasting (other than flower and water)
i found the answer to my question the other day when i had posters but no paste.
we used orange juice and got those free sugar substitutes from maccas and mixed em up.
i used my hands to put the paste on lol. the poster is still on rite now, tho i dought it will survive the storm that is passing as i speak
i have fliks of my poster il'l put em on.
    cheers

I stand corrected. Props for the ingenuity. I never would have thought of orange juice. Why did you do that rather than the flour/water recipe? No cooking involved? In any event, I'm impressed.
