montana: brass knuckles are considered an illegel and deadly weapon. and for a reason, i heard if you knock somebody out with them on you actually give them brain damage if u hit them in the head. but it depends on the area you live in really. brass knuckles arent really considered a defensive purpose weapon, there more for if you get into fights or are looking to get into fights. just avoid the subject and get some mace.
