you can't make acid in a bathroom. i have a friend who's a chemistry major... he has made some acid the easiest way thats possible (and i trust he'd know the quickest way to get the end product since he's a chemist) and it looks pretty complicated... there is a lot of shit.
even if you had a precursor for the reaction (good luck getting one, LSA via extraction from seeds would be the easiest i can think of) it'd be way too complicated to make in a bathroom.... there is a reason why most of the world's acid comes from only a few labs (which is why the price went up so drastically a few years back, one of the major labs got busted... so now you have to pay more money for lower quality acid), whereas other drugs that are easier to make get made everywhere....
you might be able to do a crude LSA extraction in a bathroom... but make LSD? nahhh.... i'm not too bad at chemistry myself and I can't see how it would be possible (and yes I have looked into making acid before) and the fact that my friend doesn't see any easy ways to make it either just confirms it. plus in order to get precurors and other chemicals required to make acid you pretty much need a high-clearing lab authority anyway (or really good direct connections to black market trade in european countries).. so if you had to go through all that trouble chances are you wouldn't be whipping the shit up in a bathroom, but rather a high-tech lab.
^ also ether doesn't make your crack any more addictive or fuck you up anymore, the reason people use ether is because it evaporates cleanly... it's used as a solvent not an additive. so in the end people use ether because it leaves NOTHING behind and leaves a PURER product. it's also used because it can be more efficient, seeing as how water is a polar solvent it won't dissolve the freebase coke (it just mixes in and makes cloudy water)... ether however is a non-polar solvent and the coke can dissolve in it.
