Do you know why it is unsmart to post pictures of your work?

Because any cop that might wander onto this board can arrest you and have EVIDENCE. He can use a screenshot of your post of your shit as proof, and grab a warrant.

Well, Mister Shrink, how can he find me?

Well, this post Patriot Act world (ARGH&#33, FBI agents can take your IP (The Long number in my sig), trace it to your service provider, and call them and ask who owns it. This can end up in a raid fast.

However, this is just my thinking. If there is any laws that people know of that proves my thinking wrong, don't hesitate to post it and kick my ass.

not just finding you doing it in the act or comparing pictures of stuff they found and stuff you posted but they need proof of who it is that is on the computer, and then they would confiscate your computer and see what you have on your hard drive see all the websites you have been to and even then they would need probable cause to get a warrant just to do that. so its not a bad idea to do it.

yea but they do have the IP adress of where the post was made but like i said that only lets them know your doing it ,

it doesnt give them a right to arrest you just gives them a hint in america you are innocent untill proven guilty which means that they have to have a video oh you doing it (and even then you can get away with it look at R.kelly) OR they have to get u in the act of vandlism which is why always use a ghost name at school, on forums, never give out the location and also rock a ghost name on legal walls

haha seriously though... my isp is bounced off toronto for some weird reason... n most of us have firewalls n some of us rooters wich would make tracking an ip kinda hard...

i honestly have and will never fear a cop, comming on to some forum that i'm in, and hunting me down just because i paint some little bomb, or maybe even a huge peice. There are so many other things cops can be looking for on internet forums than our little punk asses tearing shit up. Like those white power hicks, sucidal goth kids, anarchro terrorists, etc etc etc. Until i see proof that some member of the law has came onto this exact forum and hunted a writer down i'm not gonna be afraid of that concept.

um u want proof? they DO use the forums. this is a montreal based forum. they used it to gain information on writers. they used parts of the info found in their 'research' in the court hearing of NRK crew after the big bust last summer. (19 writers of the NRK and ATMS crew got busted after a big 2 metro stations night mission)

i read that in the newspaper... so yes cops do monitor graff sites... but its more jsut to know how we think n catch us better then try n pin point names...


and u think cops have better stuff todo? first off cops dont do this kinda job. the vandal squad or graffiti detectives do it. thats their job. catching writers.... n yes such ppl exist. ive personnaly talked on the phone with montreals head graffiti specialist when i got busted once. a detective whos job is to crack down on writers n identify tags etc...

secondly graff costs the city a hella lot. gang fights dont. coke selling doesnt. vandalism does.

coke sellers operate in alleys, in dark corners. they stay out of sight usually. same with most crimes.

writers are in your face. we try to get the most recognition n be seen by the biggest public. so that makes us alot more of a nuisance then alot of other junk...
