But he's trying to get you to focus on having a solid foundation of each individual letter. Then you can overlap. Because some of the proportions are a little off, like the letters are kinda' tweaked because you never actually draw the whole letter. So it looks funky. Like they're pushing over onto the next letter and squishing it, instead of just overlapping.

By the way, by symmetrical, I mean don't have the top of the K be closed, and the bottom open. The K on your keyboard is symmetrical right in the middle (horizontally) so try to make them both either open or closed, but with different traits (extension on the bottom like you have).

insane, lookin alright, i want you to try and separate your letters more, you have some good movements with the can now its time to try and make each letter more individual so that its more readable but good start
my entry for the conan battle.... meh... the first 3 letters are in my name so i tried to change it up a bit for the battle
