can you use acrylic paint for mixing?

    im talking about this type

its waterbase so its probably not worth it but i saw a step by step on some paint with this sort of paint but cant find it

acrylic is usable but not mixable. like you said its waterbased, all acrylic is for the most part. we wont get into the other part. Some people use it with mops cause of the large array of colors but it can basically be peeled off the surface. So its good for hard to reach spots or places that wont get buffed if you want like bright blue or orange or whatever.

If you can find one, look for an alcohol based caligraphy ink. there hard to find but do exist and they mix well with most homemade. Unless its xylene based of course.

You may wanna try one of the belton molotow markers if youve got the cash. I liked em for the colors and they have decent flow. but again they cant be mixed with much. but you can wash it out once its empty and reuse the marker w your ink.

what kind or silver is that? it does look watery, Xylene bases silver are also usually the best for markers. The metal pigment has trouble getting through marker nibs. And even Xylene based ones have the same problem, unless the pigment is super fine and made for it, such as a silver deco. And it could be that there was glue left in there but i dont it looking at that pic.

this is from right near the beggining of the thread, but the scientist in me wont let this go...

Ethanol is still a hydrocarbon as is methanol. In fact methanol is the most basic hydrocarbon there is, and ethanol is the next.

    Hydrocarbon = hydrogen and carbon
Methanol = 1 carbon atom surrounded by 4 hydrogens, which is as small as hydrocarbons can come. Meth makes you sick so you can't drink it.
Ethanol = 2 carbons joined together and 6 hydrogens, this is the drinking alcohol. They add meth to pure eth so people can't drink it (unless u'r an abo and then you can mix it with OJ and suffer the consequences, u dozy fucks).

A note on "proof": Sometimes you wont find a percentage, instead alcohol will be marked with a "proof". Basically you can just halve this number and it will give you the percentage. I steal mine from labs so i get 200 proof, which is like 100% (its 99.99% actually cos even the best processes in the world cant help getting some moisture or impurities in it.
Peace or Piece, its all the same to me...

what additives can you add to a base ink to make it eat into what im writing on (plastic and painted metal mostly) because some tags on bus stops get buffed in a few days ~ a week so i was gonna get some of this : http://www.illuminartycolors.com/pro...ink-500ml.html and mix something into it?

that stuff might eat through color on something plastic, and might be able to eat through thin plastic like a water bottle, but that stuff is not going to eat through metal or thick plastic like a bust stop.

Look into how theyre buffing it, are they using a machine to buff, or are they painting over it? Cause that ink will eat through paint if they try to paint over it(most good inks should).

i used grog black ink in a squeezer and you can see a tiny bit of the edges and the little dips.

i will probably aqquire some sand paper but some bus stops are scratched to shit

what you need to do then is get a thick plastic bingo dabber and fill it with etchbath. then when you hit hard plastic like a bus stop, theyll have to replace the plastic panel to buff it.

and yes doing this^ can be dangerous if your not smart, but dont be a retard, and use with caution and youll be fine. wear a glove

yeah, Ive added woodstain to ballpoint ink recipes. Just dont let it sit in the mop, if your gonna add it in, you gotta use all the ink thats in there quickly(a day or 2) or else the woodstain can start to dry and will turn into thick goop and then harden, ruining the mop.

Woodstain is good though, as its name states, the shit stains
