The Winners! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I can't tell you how many times I've looked through all of the entries. It was really tough. I had to get Hasl [Serye Design] to help out. 1st Place: Mewt Brisk's comment: We picked this one due to the good composition, legible style with flavor and it seemed like a real paintable style. The characters helped a little. Maybe putting an arrow on the right might help with balance and maybe some subtle gloss lines or highlights. And trap it all in with a pop color too. Congrats 2nd Place: Sori420 Brisk's comment: We both liked this style. It had nice letters, both lines and seemed like a real paintable style as well. Letters fit like a puzzle, thats good. Silver or color it would look good. I would do color though. The 'A' needs to be opened up a little bit and the handstyles need to be sharped, but over all its clean. Congrats 3rd Place: Sobe Brisk's comment: This sketch is a really good wildstyle. The 'n' gets lost a little bit but over all its dope. Colors are cool too and it looks like there was some time put in it. If the 3D popped with a lighter green, it would really set it off. I know it's kinda hard on paper. Nice though... Congrats. Honorable Mention: Deps Mistix Morph Note Vektr Baker Bigel Chuone SickDoggz A sketch is very important and I've met really good Writerz that always use a sketch. Some don't, but most of them do. Just remember that painting is a whole different thing... Props to Mewt, good job. Havent looked at the rest of the entrys yet, but ive seen many other good entrys. these battles are good competition
they have a diffrent writer each time so who knows mewts deserved the win look nice athough some higlights would look good
IMO these battles are judged by what the style the Writer likes...its obvious that say a head like Revok would choose a peice with teeth init ... and a head like Can2 would choose a peice with a poppy fill ... IMO. Like the last battle i think it was...i was in the top 6 wasnt i ? ... that battle was being judged by a Euro head ... you get me ? also Id really like to know if anyone out of the US actually wins , do they get there prize shipped to them ? .. id really like for Newz himself to answer ..
