does anybody know how to get canvases for cheap? or how to make them? =( i went to Opus art the other day, and its like $200 for a meter long... im not gunna pay for that. and you cant rack em either..
oh ok i see where your going i guess thats why you were asking for it cheap because small ones are inexpensive, you can make them go to a art store, and ask if they have the materials to make them should reduce the price by half or less. just build the frame with light wood like the stuff for doorpaneling. then like i said go to the art store and buy the canvas material.
THey don't have to be on a wood frame, you can get acrylic primed canvasses on stiff board for cheap.
yeah the board ones work pretty good if your not doing oils or acrilic paints. If its spray paint check thoes.
If it dosen't matter how heavy the canvas is just use wood. Go to a hardware store you can get a 8' by 11' sheet of plywood for around $15-18 American. Or go to a construction site when no ones around and grab left over plywood from the dumpster.
go to any art store/craft store by you and buy the big canvas roll and a stretcher bar you'll need that then just build your from out of wood whatever sized and roll your canvas on to it ive got a HUGE ass canvas roll, i love it.
check online stores but then again u gotta pay shippin or look on 4 stores that carry it....or just google it
if you want a big one for aerosol and not brushes. strectch out a white bedsheet, i've seen it work out pretty nice sometimes, but make sure it's tight.
i get my canvas by walking into michaels with a back pack and putting like 10 8 1/2 X 11 pieces of canvas board in my back pack then walk out
then i use paint to maKe a nice fade back round theN i use paint markers and do up some letters over iT
