I looked around, and for a Canada-based forum, I was shocked to see there wasn't a thread for hockey. The new season just started up, so we'll see what all goes down. Post away, and talk some shit about Anaheim. Go Penguins.
I'd love to learn more about hockey, seems like a cool sport, how often do fights happen and what position checks the most? And do you Canadians go by the U.S. League or not?
Hockey fucken rules. I actually got a game tomorrow. Going to kick some serious ass. Habs played poorly last game, but they'll bounce back tomorrow night. Hopefully Laraque will knock someone the FUCK out yaaa dig?
Fights in the NHL happen jsut about every game. If it's a rivalry, for example, Boston against Montreal, there could be one every period. If you go watch semi pro, theres about a fight every five minutes, its very enjoyable. What position checks the most? Probably the defencemen, unless your a power forward, the one that forchecks in the corners all day. The US league? Nahhh, we follow NHL.
Bahhh, Vancouver has a goalie as a captain, You expect them to win the cup? ahahaha, no diss to goalies, but common. And yeah, Kings are pretty terrible, theyre so low key though, thats the teams that you gotta watch out for most of the time. And Caps got Ovechkin and now Federov, offense seems pretty fucken beast with Brashiere to back everyone up.
Nah, I used to play roller and ice hockey but not on a club team or anything. All the ice rinks got shut down and most of the roller leagues sucked and it was really expensive so i quit. CA is not very hockey friendly, if you know what I mean. There used to be an ice rink about a mile from my house, I pass by the abandoned building almost every day. I miss that place
New York Rangers fan right here. Hoping to go to my first game at MSG this season, I have been to many New Jersey Devils and Trenton Devils games, but only to watch a game, I am not a fan of either team.
