    1. Why do you do graffiti/street art?

I started doing it because it was the super cool thing to do in Elementry school, just when everyone got busted for colouring on the slides I didn't stop. Now I continue doing it to relieve stress, and to generally say "fuck you I was here", not neccisarily to anyone in particular, but to remind myself.

    2. Who is your work aimed at?

The more people the better, I like my existance being aknowledged, even if they don't know it was me.

    3. Does your work contain a social/political message?

No, not really. Guess you could call it anti advertising, but I really could care less. I do it for me.

    4. What got you started?

Elementry school, skateboarding was the shit, everyone read skateboarding magazines during silent reading. Kids would then copy the tags they saw in the skateparks and it made you super cool for doing so, or atleast between a small group of kids. And then, as mentioned before, everyone got busted for drawing on the school with jiffy markers and stuff, and everyone stopped. I kept going, just stopped bragging about and was a lot more careful.

Thanks so much for answering these questions, guys :D

You're not really helping to prove my thesis, but I need more sources anyways.

    1. Why do you do graffiti/street art?
Cause if you can have street performers forcing their fucking acoustic guitar on people, you should be able to put any art you want on the street.
The more and more graffiti I saw the more it stuck in my mind, and I figured if I liked it that much I should try it.
    2. Who is your work aimed at?
whoever cares to look at it
    3. Does your work contain a social/political message?
only if it helps it look nice
    4. What got you started?
Just seeing other stuff up on the street, stencils, throws, whatever got me thinking about it until I realized that bringing art to people in a public way would be really cool.

    1. Why do you do graffiti/street art?
To help make our shitty world easier to live in by giving people a chance to smile and think about something; something such as why a person would risk his freedom to put something like this up.

    2. Who is your work aimed at?
    Middle/low-income, middle-aged people.

    3. Does your work contain a social/political message?
    Almost always.

    4. What got you started?
Hmm... Well, in all reality, I was browsing Flickr and crossed a few pictures of generic graffiti. It caught my interest and I Ecocho'd it. A banksy piece was on of the first pics to come up, and I thought (what everybody thinks when they see their first Banksy piece) "...Wow. That is amazing." I was always artistic and decided to start making stencils. I came up with my un-named campaign later that day and have been producing original stencils since then.

Just a little piece of trivial knowledge:
I live in a small town in western New York and as far as I know, no one like me has ever occured here. I work at a cafe and meet alot of people, and I have never had one negative comment. Of course, only 2 or 3 people know that I am the one doing the art, and I plan to keep my identity hidden from the public, no matter the feedback, because I think a face behind it may take away some of the mysticism and mystery of it.

Not being arrogant, but feel free to quote me.
