sorry to say but you best lose that impression quick if your looking to progress at all NOTHING, ill say one more time NOTHING can fix shit letters, might make them look like less shit. Think of letters like a house, your fundamental knowledge of letter structure is the foundation, now if you have a shitty foundation but cover it with all the bells and whistles(i.e. bends,curves,ARROWS,fills,3d etc.) the house will look fine but when really put under pressure easily crumbles.

ive been out of commission for a pretty good amount of time. its good to be back. heres some shit ive done while ive been out of the game.
Rade - work on the 3d.. all the lines should come out at the same angle. Also i dont know what it is about the leg in the R, but that kink in it looks weird to me.
Deder - i like it. i think its just the angle it was taken at but the letters at the end seem bigger. if not then make em the same size and itd look good.
any crits on mine? i havent worked on colors so most are just pencil. one is color but its whack.. i put a charac that ive been workin with a little and just scribbling around. they arent all finished. just doodles or shit i drew while i had some time. thanks everyone

Never mind found your pictures. I like the character and most of the straights but the cone thing is kinda whack and same with the mushroom. The Idea with the bushes is solid though.

rade... the vanishing point of ur 3d isnt bad, looks to be going to the bottom middle... but dont overlap ur 3d onto ur letters... instead get ur letters drawn out and then 3d the entire shape of everything... on the bottom right of the R the 3d overlaps onto the A and on the crossbar of the A the 3d overlaps onto the D... itd look better if u didnt have a 3d there nawmsayin??? ... and the maze fill would look cool if it was super clean and u could actually get from one end to the other hah good idea though

haha, yeah a friend of mine did a maze fill in my book, it worked.

just because the letters overlap doesnt mean the 3d has to overlap too... like i said just draw out the letters with no 3d, and then 3d the outer shape of everything
yeah like I get that and I DO that, BUT if the letters ARE 3 dimentional and the 3d is actually part of the letter... knawmeen? it's weird, I guess with some pieces it might work, coz an effect, but not on most. peace.

oh ok well when ur doing actual 3d lettering then there wont be any traditional 3d in it.. u basically sketch it out the same way but instead of making the 3d section black or w/e u color it same as the letters and blur the lines defining the 3d to make it look like the letters are just an object and ur seeing it from a perspective... daim is fucking insane, his shits more abstract than most 3d graff but i think it looks better than anything...

you have to have one point where every line of 3d end. can you see it? you dont have one point.your lines go whereever they want.
(i hope it is clearly, i'm not english or american, i'm sorry for mistakes).
but i like the shape of letters
rade - lose the bar bending, i don't think you're doing it right. keep it simple and put a slant to your letters or something like that
