mistakes ive already notice include the inconsistent width of the bars, for example the M is thicker than most of the other letters... the fill is messy... bends are kind of wacky in certain places, like the serif on the first 's'

I think the problem with noob graff is that you try to hard to achieve something you're unfamiliar with. You can't just pick up a guitar for the first time and shred like a god, same with graff. Start with simple things...then as you go along you realize you can do other stuff with it, start adding some little twangs in there..ya know...Instead of jumping into complex design, you need to understand the skeleton first. Lookin' good all around gentlemen..just dull it down and you work on structure!

I agree.

That's what I've been telling people on here, but no one listens.
I think it's that people don't find graff artsy enough, so they think graff is easier than drawing your traditional still-life, or portrait.
I'm sure people think "hey, it's only letters, how hard can it be? I'll just add some arrows, and I'll be flossin' in no time."
Meanwhile, they're drawing wack ass letters with arrows on every edge, of every letter.

i think what makes graff so great is the individuality of each throwup burner or whatever. if we all try to do the same structure then graff would be boring. what really is "right structure"? you're saying it's the one everyone else uses but i disagree...

eskir ur asking what really is right structure... take a look at what u posted and then look at the rest of this page... that right there is the difference between having structure and not having it... it goes for things other than letters too though, like in that rockwitit piece the guys head and neck are disproportionate to the rest of his body, and it makes it look kinda jank, proportions are all structure is about...

i do know what ur saying though and i like some of my shit that has no structure at all, but its because i see my style forming within it and i get a kick outta having my own style, u have ur own too, and so will the kids that post pieces on here and get made fun of, u gotta eventually go back to simps and get some structure down, but everyone breaks the rules cuz everyone wants to rock a piece... that is all
