post you favorite punk bands and talk about which ones suck and all that good stuff. FUCK mainstream pop simple plan green day garbage, ive had enough of it.

heres some bands to start this off.

Sex pistols, ramones, the clash, the germs, the exploited, sucicide machines, millencollin, choking victim, pennywise, misfits, danzig, antartica vs the world, rancid, gg allin and all of his bands, lars frederiksen and the bastards, sublime, buck-0-nine, anti-flag, OLD afi, the dwarves, juggheads revenge, the offspring (theyre older stuff is better.) duane peters and the hunns, US bombs, ghost runner on third (theyre like the only good emo ish band in the world). pepper, johnny thunders and the destroyers, subhumans, uk subs, total chaos, bad religion, and yes i do like blink 182, theyre about the only pop-punk i can listen to. NOFX, older goldfinger, the vandals, bad brains, gang green, toxic narcotic, defiance, athourity zero, the ruts, the damned ect... cant think of anymore rite now.

and mods, please give this a chance i know theres some punkers in here.

ramones - mainstream pop
the clash - mainstream pop
the exploited - new shit is horrible, they have another guy come in and do there solos for them.
millencollin - pop punk
misfits - theres nothing jerry only hasn't done to make the misfits anymore of a joke. way past sold out. 77 to 83 is the only shit worth listening to.
danzig - danzig 1 is punk, the rest just gets kinda weird.
rancid - mainstream
gg allin and all of his bands - racist
lars frederiksen and the bastards - mainstream
sublime - not punk.
anti-flag - alright, anti flag started out ok. I listened to them. I liked how they were against capitalism. and then they sold there anti capitalist patches at the mall.
OLD afi - davey havoc clings to danzigs nutsack so bad you couldn't pry it off with a blow torch and a sledge hammer.
the offspring - main stream pop
total chaos - street punk is dead.
bad religion - mainstream pop
and yes i do like blink 182, theyre about the only pop-punk i can listen to - you listed like a billion pop punk bands.
the vandals - pop punk
defiance - mediocer
athourity zero - horrible.




I didn't do this to be a dick. half the bands you listed were ska bands. ska is not punk. and the other bands are either pop punk bands or bands that are dead or are playing dead music. Theres a fine line between popular music and pop punk. literally the only band thats a keeper is gang green.


there are literally a billion and a half awesome underground punk bands that split into a bunch of different sub genres. I'm not saying that you shouldn't listen to the bands you listen to. listen to whatever you want but if you want to hear some really awesome bands that are around or have broken up then here ya go.

You a dumbass... theres a few types. Underground/gangster/pop type/old school/new school..and a few others i cant think of right now...i listen to new age underground..like Looptroop/promoe/classified/lexicon...those are some of the best rap artists in the world id say, because the beats are at just the right tone as the rapping, and the raps arent damb repetetive words.. its stuff about real life.

I started off with The Ramones and The Casualties.. I dont really care anymore, I just listen to whatever I like. Motion City Soundtrack is good to listen too, I also like The academy is. Ben Folds is fucking amazing (althoug hes far from punk Im gonna mention him anyway) Weezer is also good, their new album isnt spectacular or anything but their still good. I like alot of the beats from rap but shit like 50-cent just pisses me off... I like 1 song by eminem... Mosh, mostly cause I hate G. Dubya. I dont fall into a specific category music wise..... if you were gonna categorize me though I&#39;d probably fall into like Indie... and honestly I dont give a shit if you can kick my ass or dont like my taste in music, the only thing I care about is being able to be the best graffiti artist I can and make my pieces appealing to the eyes and have more people like them, and maybe even have a message in them sometimes. Im all for living for the moment and living like your gonna die tomorrow so I hope all you kids on here grow up and realize that having the biggest balls isnt going to affect your life 20 years from now (except maybe if your spending it in prison.... you fuck).
