How did they prove it? Did they fly their own space shuttle to the moon, scavenge the landscape for the flag, and then take pictures of them doing so?

They sent some laser signal to the moon at some specific location which had a special reflector that sent back the signal. And then signal came back. I suggest watching that episode.

The Universe is an amazing place. i love sitting outside on clear nights and staring at the stars and the moon (with the help of my best friend marry jane haha) and i just think about how small we really are and how much is out there. i think about how all of this got here and how amazing it is with all of the unexplained mysteries in the place that we live in that we may never know the answer to. im definitely interested in learning about those crazy things in the world that nobody really knows how they got there or why.

and as for religion being mixed in with the creation of the universe. i don't believe in the christian god or any other god that has to do with any other set religion. i believe that there is A higher being that created the universe and wrote the laws of physics and shit like that. but its just amazing to think about all the possibilities.

i saw something on the discovery channel one time that talked about every time a decision is made in somebody's head (whether it be a human or an ant) the universe duplicates in another dimension and both scenarios happen of both choices that could have been made. i don't believe it but whatever. bottom line is that we're are little people living in a big universe.
