Anybody know good ways to clean caps? I had a few but now they all clogged up. I can't order any online and the only store that sells them here is pretty far away.

I know people are gonna say go to home depot and get graffiti remover but home depot is to far for me to go.

I'm wondering if anyone has some kind of household items that can clean caps. I've heard that brake cleaner works but i havn't tried it yet.

turn the can upside down and let the air clean it out. if its too clogged invest or steal a can of goof off and let that clean it. your welcome

you just don't make things easy do you?

for fucks sake, when you're done using the can, spray upside down. i used to use this graffiti removal shit too. worked like a charm. they sell it at walmart.

Just get Denatured Alcohol. It's way cheaper than that Goof stuff. You'll get more use out of a tin of DNA. End up saving money in the end. And it works great on heavy duty paints like Molotow and MTN.

I dunno' why you people talk about flipping the can upside and clearing the cap with just air from the can...that might work on Colorplace and Rusto but when I've flipped Molotow cans, it just sprays paint.

Get the DNA. Keep up with routine cleaning maintenance. I.E. - After each use.

i heard boiling clogged caps will soften up and losen the clogged paint inside the caps so you can do the upside down trick or just blow the paint out with your mouth.. never tried it...

Some caps simply clog more easily than others. Trying to unclog a grey or black dot, even with Goof, sometimes just doesn't work. One of the best preventative measures you can take is to make sure you really shake the shit out of your cans. If you get a little clump of particles into the cap there's really no saving it. The simplest thing to do is to just buy a shitload of caps the next time you're able to. When they only cost 25-50 cents each, why not?

boiling caps would melt the caps themselves.

letting them soak in paint thinnner helps to unclogg them but the spray remover is your best bet.
