if you do, itll be messier and you can make it drip, but also it will leak and shit.
use pliers if you wanna take it out, but it kind of ruins it.
i refill/flood mine with otr ink, and i just pour it into the cotton shit a little at a time so it doesnt overflow, and it absorbs it. you can tell when the cotton has almost too much ink in it cause it looks really wet and darker or whatever.

-the paint flow is inconsistant and are very buffable

Bootlegged Sharpies (the really cheap knock-off's you get at flea markets)
-colors dont match the caps, bleed too much, run out of ink quickly

Dixon Redi-Mark
-some colors are ok for blackbooks but on the street they dont last at all, nibs are very weak and lose shape quickly

Jumbo Marks-A-Lot
-the line come out streaky, not really good for anything, dries unevenly on different sides of the nib

so whats the final verdict on the OTR Tagstars? ive heard good and bad... btw im a total toy lol but im gonna order a marker soon and dont want a lemon :P and do you have to replace the tip on a .093 tagstar when you refill it? i dont see any of those tips for sale on the bombing science shop...
