Some people say that once you start taging on the streets you are no longer a toy, and some say that after you have sketched for like a year, and have studied styles and history you are no longer a toy. i have also heard that you must be excepted and have been taging on the streets for some time . what is your oppinion?
it all depends....when you see one, you know....theres no criteria. someone whose got mad ups but 0 style and tags churches, cars, etc. is still a toy....i don't know...u just know.
i say that you are no longer a toy when your work is all over the city and you have different styles. if your only doing sketching for a year and then go to paint that means your still a toy because writing with a paint can compared to a pencil it is totaly different.
i dont think paintin is much different than a pencil.. if u make a mistake paint over jus as u wood rub it out.. its the proportion aspect of paintin i fink is the hardest.. trying to get shit the same size and stuff.. but i agree with incredible d

well people (mostly my friends) ask if im good at gaff. or not i normaly just say im still a toy and learning, even though i have been involved in graffiti for over a year and concider myslef to be decent, im better than most people i know.
just becasue you write illegally or paint freights still doesnt mean your not a toy. look at snake that gross shit is on trains, i didnt paint trains until i had been writing for 2 year seriously and sketched for 1 year before that
465 days huh? i got a year of sketchin and marker tags under my belt but only about a month or two of paint. alas still a toy. boo-hoo

never if you understand there is always room for improvement and that graffitis social ladder isnt gunna make you a better writer just because your friends say your not a toy being a modest person you should be a toy for life if you need attention and affermation about something you love to do, then you should just say your egostical....being a toy is a prison sentence it just doesnt end one day
