canon heads, can i ask what kind of pancake lens this is on the T2i? really want. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y_SthLO4LM&feature=related
It's a voigtlander... http://www.voigtlaender.de/cms/voigtlaender/voigtlaender_cms.nsf/id/pa_fdih7b4lns.html
ew. what an awkward focal lenghth.. 40mm decent f2 stop though and then the 20mm an f3.5? cannot win cant argue with those prices though
1st pic is no. Just no. Wayyyy to much vignetting. 2nd pic is ok, but you cut the bird's tail off. 3rd one is pretty good.
the canon p has a 1x magnification viewfinder, and since 35mm is wider than your normal view, you cant easily see the left and right framelines. All it takes is a quick glance to either side to check your framing, and ive got a feel for it now, but it still seems like a design flaw.
hey guys, havent posted anything ina while but ive still been stalking this thread and now ive got settled into my uni accomodation im looking to buy a point and shoot camera with decent manual settings...my price range is up to about £200 i would love a canon g10/11 but maybe in the future EDIT: just spotted this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Canon-PowerSh...Cameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3a5f5b1d4e a good buy?
I can understand wanting to have enough dof that the lips are sharp, but if the series is about the lips make the shots about just the lips and soften out the rest. the upper lip and nose aren't exactly flattering at that close.
40mm is a great focal length as a primary lens, not too long not too wide, it would cover all the bases, on full frame anyway...
on full frame although if i do end up with one, ill still pick that 40 up for its speed. 20 might be a bit too wide on some situations anyway
wide angle lenses can be quite addicting. I love 'em all, 24mm and 35mm are 2 of my favorites. I'm still thinking about selling/trading my 70-200f/4L (which I never use anymore) for a bessa. Pic related, it's a shot taken at 24mm. And a goofy old fucker. [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/5843-1/gafdude.jpg
yeah but thing is, i will only stay with crop sensor bodies... unless i go film, which will most likely be some (decent/cheap) rangefinder ive been wanting a fast (preferably wide) prime for a walk around lens and these pancakes definitely caught my eye over the canon 35 f2. i know canon will be coming out with a whole bunch of updated lenses soon anyway since nikon just did their revamp this year. well see if these new ones will include what im hoping for.
ok, fine. i always eyed voigtlanders. i saw some 2nd hand private sales.. not bad. i just gotta have someone who knows a couple things about them with me.
anyone know anything about this camera? looks pretty dope http://rochester.craigslist.org/pho/1962856241.html edit- found this on flickr thought it was cool http://www.flickr.com/photos/mhartel/5060941052/
