Also the reason these are so tightly spaced is because i drew them using my leg as a surface for the paper while i was on the bus
Why would I throw them out? I want to develop a piecing style just as much as I want to do throw ups and these are my first attempts at a slightly different style, I liked the (very few) crits I got which were actually constructive and motivational
I'm not trying to ruin your motivation just being brutally honest those suck you have to crawl before you can walk and walk before you run you need to go to simple styles before piecing throw them out stasprt fresh with straight letters that are actually legible
Because the key to developing a style is working with words as they are now. You get a full understanding of their structure by doing simples. From then on, you bend the bars, add extensions, try different fonts, whatever. You're pieces you posted are junk, theres no structure to your letters, they're completely cramped together, and it just looks plain ugly. If you stick to it, which half of the kids don't because simples get boring or they get in trouble or blah blah blah, then you'll get better. Now shut the fuck up and take the advice.
Sense - make the circles in your 3d completed circles. turning them into ovals usually works if you run out of room
I'm not liking the arrows coming off the S and E. The disconnect in the N looks out of place, and don't put that [ thing on it. Naked- it looks like 12d or md. Just fix that part of the N and itll be good.

Yes my point exactly. At least I'm glad that people are being honest, its hard showing people in real life because most artists I know either don't care or are too polite
