Hey I've got two jars of a chemical which I believe to be some stainer, I was thinking it might be potassium permagnate, but I don't know. If you touch it it stains your hand blue. Is anyone able to identify this mystery chemical? I was thinking about trying a reaction to test it.
thats not potassium permanganate or any stainer. looks like rock candy. all stainers in powder/ crystal form are REALLY dark, and will stain your hands REAL BAD. and to ship paint, costs just as much as anything else, just tell them its like acrylic paint or something if they ask, dont tell them its spray paint. proly like 5$ ish tho

nah not acetone. if its already in liquid/ flowable form, you can thin it with paint thinner, xylene, or naphtha. if you mean from rocks, you gotta boil it down
if i just picked some tar off the road, would I be able to boil it, thin it and use it without the stuff hardening in my marker?
yea kinda, use a custom mop tho, cuz its hard to get it to flow real well unless you dont have any valve. i just use chlak board eraser for nib and squeese. but yea, just take a piece of it, heat it up until its mushy, add some thinner as you heat so it loosens easier, then break it apart, sift out the shit, and use the brown colroed thinner that comes out, add carbon to it
