okay, so I totally agree with everyone about this, not very good, Seen way better then you, but sear "that bar shit" is what letters are all about, you need structure, and its not about giving up on bars completely its about getting loose with the bars, adding bends, and portion where the shape has a very sharp and geometric slant, as long as it originates as a bar, then it works, making a bar huge at one end and smaller at another end adds to it, twisting the shapes, adding depth, that all contributes to it. Im simply stating what I feel like I think people dont know, from what was said above, phillip, I dont care what you say, im not mad you just keep blowing shit at me trying to start stuff, and Im sitting here saying nothing back, sear, good ups, just work on combining "getting loose" and "that bar shit" together, at least do a piece thats simple and has different sized bars, kinda like your old stuff, but with a new direction, do it, see how it looks.peace cats. stay up.
the reason for learning bars is to learn letter shapes, and how to respect them, once you have learnt that respect you can start moving away from bars but still keep a respect for the letter, this is why the A looks fucked iin my dare entry, because i disregarded the natural shape of the letter
^^^definatly i would agree with you @ sear pinky and the brain is dope man...also diggen ur peice just not diggen that e' so much in this one but thumbs up man ur gettin up alot!!1
Yeah, I feel like if I lose that and kill some of the dead space between the I and L it would look pretty dope.
ya man your on the right track if u make the dot on the i a complete circle it would get rid of some of the space sorry kinda drunk View attachment 623505
it's a keeper. Maybe an idea to play with. The smaller letters lean pretty hard to the right. Maybe try giving a bit of flex in the taller letters moving with the pushing lean of the smaller letters.
damn prea i can dig that, but to paint that style you gonna have to expect to cut a lot to get a piece to look relatively clean, seeing as so many chunks overlap on the letters. just keep that in mind cause i know you usually paint with that curvier swag. edit* and those little strips above the p and e should either go or be joined in completely to the letter imo
