A thing I learned about improving hand styles is: if you turn the letters upside down, you can sometimes get an idea for another letter that will have a different structure, but still keep the same flow so it will still match the letters that you already worked on.

 

i do that when developing piecing styles to like lower case A's and E's for example

Yeah this is also true. A lot of letters are so similar to other letters, sometimes you don't even need to turn them upside down for inspiration.

Those are just some off the top of my head that are similar. You are right about the piece style thing.

lose all that extra shit you have going on (wtf a colon??) but the letters look pretty good as is. just work on your own style with each letter individually and then put it together after.
