Little bufftest of mine from top to bottom and left to right 70% grog blue 30% oin k black 80% grog red 20% garvey violet 70% oin k black 20% garvey 10% grog blue molotow burner black marker oin k black markal white junobo pink homemade junobo white after one layer another another another grog red was great. Molotow was great as well. Oi nk was good. grog blue was okay. Junobos and markals not so good.
Thanks rush. How can I make my ink shiny like the molotow? How long does your guys' Garvey take to dry. My seems to take hours.
what kind of ink are you trying to get shiny if its pen ink instead of using alcohol use wood hardener as the solvent if its any other add shellac my garvey dries pretty fast did you add dot3 or anything else
Nope didn't add anything. I've had it for about a year and it's been sitting maybe that's why. Where can I find shellac. Also, i've seen PVC primer in some ink recipies what does it do. What are some other stainers that could be racked besides meth blue.
yeah thats probly why you can get shellac at any hardware store, its good shit pvc primer is dope as a base for pen ink but its not really an addative you can use it to thin gk too it is a mix of a bunch of solvents and a purple solvent dye so it helps it stain a bit you can get iodine and gentian violet at pharmasics
So I'm back at the library after going to home depot, petco, staples, and target. I had couldn't find gentian violet at Target and the employees had no idea what it was. Maybe I was pronouncing it wrong? JEN (as in generator) SHUN Also I couldn't find any pilot ink or pentel whites at staples. Do your guys' staples have them?
nah tahts pronounced right, but most places only have iodine, u can special order it at the pharmacy, just say ur mom wants it, and theyrll order it, its over the counter
Coo, where would iodine be in the pharmacy? What's the deal with fish oil pills? I have some, do they do anything to alcohol based ink? What can I do with carbon pellets?
iodines where the band-aids are, fish pills slow down the drying time for the ink to seep in better crush up the carbon pellets real fine (very fine) than add to ink for it to be blacker
Damn. I guess I didn't crush them fine enough cause my ink still isn't so opaque and my it's not flowing to well How can I crush em finer.
I crushed em with a mortor and a pestle. Added about a quarter cup to my mix. Added bout a quarter cup of shellac and a quarter cup of wood hardener. With about half a cup of grog red. Eighth of a cup of o ink black and grog blue and Garvey. Here's what came out. After three layers of osh white spray paint.
looks pretty good you can get make a ball mill to get it ultra fine crush it with a mortar and pestle then put it in the mill for a while oh and could you do me a favor walkingcarpet? like take the red grog and write on like a painted metal surface the try and get it off with the wood hardener(its just mek incase anyone doesnt know
^na hid just use acetone to get it off, the wood hardener is a bunch of ketones,(acetone, M.E.K. ect) with gloss and soem other shit. it gets sticky if u try to like rub it on something
