'should' shoot raw and 'need to' shoot raw, are two different things. which is what ares was correcting. hdr images are completely possible with jpegs.
It should be said that none of this graffiti is mine, but, the pictures are mine. Photoshop was used for contrast/saturation/curves, but NOT for any effects, that was all done by "light painting". I've a whole lot more of these in the delaware thread (if you can cut through all the bullshit talk) [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/3650-4/IMG_3801.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/3651-4/IMG_3803.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/3673-4/IMG_3975.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/3685-5/IMG_4098.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://images.rapidhate.org/d/3746-5/IMG_4434.jpg
Do you light the pieces with a slow exposure and flashing in different places? or is that a photoshop tweak
digital photo formats, jpeg is a compressed version of an image, a RAW is a huge very editable format that keeps the most picture quality
A.K. - It's a technique called light painting, what I do is long exposure (15-30secs depending on natural light) to get a good overall picture, then I shine a flashlight on the pieces I want to highlight.

cool that similar to what I did with my pictures of my friends on the beach at night with the red sky, just a long exposure with a big flash form my camera flash wherever I want it.
remote flash? or swivel I have no external flash... i'm gettin my next lens soon I haven't decided on sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 or sigma 20mm 1.8 $$$
