ok i just tried my kiwi mop out the other day and it dripped all over my hands and all outta the bottle at the top - so i had to ditch it. any suggestions?
what'd you fill it with? did it drip out of the foam part or where the nib base meets the bottle? did you take the regulator out?
there were some people on stencilrevolution.com talking about invisble till dry ink. i think it exists somewhere in europe. i know recipes to inks that go on looking like dirty water that turn jet black with oxidation, but im not sure if its the same thing.
i filled it with white oil-based paint and some paint thinner too. i did take the regulator out first before i filled it because i heard you get better drips without it and it was mainly dripping out the foam part and where it meets the bottle...it sucked, oil based paint is a bitch to get off..
well if you thinned out the paint a lot then you can bet it'll flow out like crazy. if you take the regulator out, you gotta make sure to keep it upright until you write with it or it will leak outta there. it really shouldn't be leakin where the nib meets the bottle. maybe you got a loose one or your paint is so damn thin it gets through there. in any case, stick with a 1/3 thinner to 2/3 paint mix or 1/5 to 4/5.
Where Would I Buy Oil Based Paint.. And Will It Be In A Big Tin? Please Help.. Thank You (Ive Looked On The Net.. But I Cant Seem To Find Anywhere :S Cheerz..
go to your local hardware store. they come in half-pint, pint, and gallon sizes usually. if it is oil-based, it will say so on the container. popular brand is rustoleum but doesn't have to be (as long as its oil based)
