He means don't do HDR. It's a novelty that gets old real fast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ8PGxL6urg&feature=related great videos for learning about lighting.

kinda wanna fuck with hdr just for fun...it gets really boring really quick but not really sure about how to do it i looked it up and i have no clue what the ev setting is or where i find it...idk, kinda lame...im going out tonight to take more shit
Just take 3 shots, one overexposed, one perfect and one underexposed, then download photomatix pro software and voila.
It can also be done by taking one shot in RAW, then adjusting the exposure on photoshop and saving 3 seperate files, this is how HDR is done with people and moving objects where taking three physical shots isn't possible.
ehhh, fuck it...lol id probobly just do hdr shots until i can execute it perfectly and then never do it again...its waay boring actually...its cool to look at every so often but some photographers that just shoot that shit all the time are boring as fuck photos for today...around 2am got too foggy to shoot, chicago's visability went from fine to terrible in a matter of hours i really need a new tripod, i have some lightweight sony tripod thats supposed to be great but in reality...it sucks ass...once the legs are extended, they dont lock so if you pick it up, the legs come back in, so basicaly, adjusting the thing is a bitch...anyone got any recomendations on a good tripod? this things getting old really quick, one function im looking for is a level, with my tripod i find myself taking several shots to get it level, the only thing the tripod i have does to tell you its level is a click..but its very easy to pass the click up by a millimeter and then your not level...
i bought a stainless steel one 160 canadian go to best buy and look there or future shop if your in Canada there gonna be pricey but its worth it.
first one would look better if it was placed off centre, splits the image too much. second needs a slight levelling out and would look good third is a little overexposed in places fourth just looks fucking sick and fifth might look a bit better if the tones were cooled down a bit in lightroom or whatever, looks a bit orange overall, good shit mate. and the thing about getting it level, if it helps, you seen these before? just a little spirit level that fits onto the hotshoe, can get them dirt cheap on ebay [Broken External Image]:http://www.procameragear.com/pics/px-bl2a.jpg
If your getting into architecture, the best peice of advice I can give you is get photoshop, and practice using the warp tool. Using a level will help you, but when your trying to get a whole building into frame, its not always possible to keep level. Can't always do it in camera, but its not that hard to keep your vertical lines straight in post.
