I'm sure I will when they get here... I'm fairly excited to be able to do off camera flash though. Gonna' be fun to control my lighting. It's be great if they worked on my other, phoenix flash too.

What triggers did you get? I got some Cactus V4's recently, heaps good for the price. Only had misfires because the batteries in the flash unit itself were going.

Started on the tumblr ish too http://joelwphoto.tumblr.com/

They don't look bad dude, scans always end up bad quality unless you go to a photo lab. Scan some more in, post em up

Funhouse...i love long exposure stuff, but always wondered why you get the light trails but never any distortion from the car that makes it... back to me about getting film developed i like the way matte looks but glossies seem to scan better, any one else feel the same way?

I like that last one for some reason. Dunno' why. When I make prints, I always do 'em in matte, I've never scanned any though. When I did that pic the other night I put under the shot of the house, that was my first time doing long exposures like that, and I was sure I'd get the car in it. But sure enough, no car. Not even at the end of the light trail (I only got the tail light trail halfway down the road, didn't expose long enough)

I have no idea how that works.

Because camera's work by capturing light. there is not enough light bouncing off of the car for it to be captured.
I'm not much of a film head; but i think the lack of colour you were talking about is a part of the "vintage" look film gives.

to go deeper into the car thing. if youre exposing for say, 30 seconds...and something is STATIONARY in the shot for 15 seconds, it will be perfectly 50% opaque. 10 seconds, 30% opaque, 30 seconds 100% opaque. that being said, you can play with flashes to "freeze" certain elements you wish to keep in the shot. try doing a long explosure, but using flash. and while the camera continues to expose wave a light around. you will see the trail...get creative. http://www.google.ca/images?hl=en&q=light painting&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi
some examples =p really fun stuff.

that last one is a traditional mexican dish.Ckicken enchilladas with Goat cheese, cabbage, rice and a Coca Cola...my mother inlaw knows how to put it down!!!
the middle one is a glossie all the others are matte...this is why I wanna take some photography classes, because besides the obvious equipment stuff i would really like to create images that look as good as i see them, but looking through god made eyes and man made equipment is a completely incomparable thing but I see photos that look real close to what can be seen through eyes.but when i take a picture it's like distorted or something.also i noticed on a lot of my photo's i get movement when i press the shutter button causing the image to look out of focus.i'm going in the morning to get some shots using the tripod to see if that can fix it,I'm guessing that if I use the shutter delay timer thingie that should cure that problem...the more I wade in the deeper it gets...
