yo a canon eos 40d showed up at my door today with a bill of over a grand. i been looking at getting the nikon d60, which is like $400 cheaper. however, the eos 40d is here and beutiful and shiny, shoud i pay the bill to keep it, or just get the d60. also im asking if i should keep it because it showed up without warning and no one in my house ordered it. please make my decisions for me.

My friend, Libby, has a D60 with about 4 lenses for it. Though the cunt never does photography, she just takes simple pictures of her friends and shit. I want that thing bad.

I would say go with the D60 but youll be paying for extra lenses too

the D60 is not much more then a soccer mom DSLR..
if i were you, i would stick with the canon, not only because its a much better all around camera, once you really start buyin lenses, canon is a fair bit easier to afford. i just bought the 30D, which is the model before the 40D, and im lovin everything about it!

I've been using my Canon S3IS for what seems like too long. I'm ready to move up, but my wallet isn't :(

Here's my favorite shot from a shoot of my grandparents for their 60th anniversary present :)

if you want a camera with an m mount there's also the leica cl. you can get them real cheap on ebay and they are a pretty decent body that uses leica lenses. the cl is a really tiny camera too, maybe half the size of a d300. leica also made some "C" class lenses, that are smaller, to fit the body.

good luck paying for leica glass, shit is expensive.
